Constance is a refined riverside restaurant at Fulham Pier, conceived as both a neighbourhood destination and a premium hospitality venue.
Its design combines warmth, character and flexibility, with the Thames forming a constant backdrop to the experience.
OVERVIEW
The interiors draw inspiration from the Thames foreshore, surrounding landscape and the inventive spirit of Constance Spry. Natural woods, ceramics, hand-painted finishes, rich textiles and planting create a layered, tactile atmosphere, while river-facing seating maximises views and natural light. A sequence of lounge, restaurant and private dining spaces gives the venue a strong sense of progression and variety.
Stuart Forbes Associates delivered the design and spatial planning, integrating the restaurant within the complex operational framework of Fulham Pier. Flexible zoning, sliding doors, curtains and decorative screens allow spaces to connect or separate according to different occasions, from everyday dining to private events and matchday hospitality. The concept was developed in collaboration with Lázaro Rosa-Violán Studio, bringing together a distinctive interior identity with SFA’s planning, technical integration and delivery expertise.
