As lead architects and designers for the Metropole Hotel's major refurbishment, we transformed this historic property into a modern luxury lifestyle destination while preserving its rich heritage.

OVERVIEW

Originally opened in 1855, the hotel’s iconic past was a key influence in the redesign, which included renovations to the restaurant, bar, suites, and rooms.

Our design focused on creating dynamic, multifunctional spaces that encourage social interaction and cater to the evolving needs of today’s luxury traveller. The ground floor was reimagined with vibrant gathering spaces, including an open kitchen, chef’s table, and flexible dining areas. The rooms were redesigned for maximum comfort and privacy, blending traditional craftsmanship with modern amenities.

Sustainability played a central role in the renovation, with energy-efficient technologies, improved insulation, and eco-friendly systems incorporated throughout. The project successfully combines the hotel’s storied history with contemporary luxury, offering guests an elevated, memorable experience in the heart of Geneva.

Through this transformation, we have redefined the Metropole’s role as a destination for both business and leisure, embodying the essence of modern hospitality while honouring its iconic legacy.
